There are many clothes shops on the e-commerce market and clothes are the most often purchased products online (35% of products bought in online shops are clothes and that’s a second place after 44% which stands here for books). However, it’s not easy to buy and sell clothes via the Internet. The sizes vary from brand to brand and you can’t see it all in a photo. And still there are many fashion web shops running a successful business. Let’s take a look at three of our favorite ones!
I don’t think I need to convince anyone that this is one of the best and most successful e-shops in the online fashion business. Why is that? Well, to us even the first impression is great. Asos has a great, neat and clear design and from the very beginning you feel the fashion spirit in the air, great photos at the main page are extremely well-chosen for the categories they represent. But that’s of course not the only thing about the webshop. They offer numerous filtering options, so you always look at the stuff that’s of your particularly interest. The filters include price range, size range, brand and many more.
Their the social media possibilities are great as well. Asos is really leading in the social media space. You can share the products with friends via most popular networks or an e-mail and the asos crew’s social as well. They are active on their Facebook fan page and let’s not forget about the blog – full of inspiration and great ideas! To keep up with the fast pace of today’s life the e-shop came up with a mobile version of their website. With great product descriptions, videos of each product and visible info about the delivery and returns policy, there’s literary nothing restraining you from shopping there!
All together it's quite clear why Asos has been awarded for both their online and social presence at the eCommerce Awards for Excellence 2011 event in London.
This shoe shop took the word personal to a new dimension. You can get here all the help you need to buy your dream shoes. By that we mean the best tool possible: live video help. The staff is actually there to answer clients’ questions and give you some advice. There’s no blog, but there’s something way better: heelstv, a great idea to create an ultimate shopping experience.
Just like in asos, there are plenty of photos in different sizes and videos matching each pair of shoes. The filtering options are also worth an appreciation.
And also, heels.com is full of social tools to share each product with your friends. The one thing only that I miss here is the mobile site of heels.
Well, I hope that will change soon.
They didn’t forget about the mobile site, neither about a fashionable, user-friendly design!
You also get an extremely visible and clear return and delivery policy. The best thing for me here is the “you’ve just seen” option, no longer do I have to open new tubs not to lose the products I’ve been observing. They’re all gathered under the currently opened product, so you can easily make up your mind. Another best feature is the “wear with”, which gives you an idea for a great outfit with the product you wish to buy! And there are plenty of sharing options, you can virtually send the product to every social network!
Be trendy and personal
Generally speaking those three clothes e-shops are representing what every webshop should be like. The first thing is that they’re extremely personal, social, mobile and follow the trends, which is very important as we concluded before. It seems like they’re really involved with finding out what their customers need. And that’s the key to success, knowing your clients!
What are you favorite fashion e-shops? What do you think of those presented?
